Liverpool 0-1 Marseille

The Reds endured a frustrating night in front of goal as a sensational late effort from Mathieu Valbuena earned Marseille a surprise 1-0 win at Anfield. Rafa Benitez's men struggled to test Steve Mendanda in the visitors' goal throughout the match and but for some fine goalkeeping by Pepe Reina the away side could have returned to France with a bigger margin of victory.

In a frustrating first-half the Reds took a while to get into their stride and Marseille should have taken the lead after just 12 minutes.

Karim Ziani won the ball off Fabio Aurelio on the halfway line before releasing Mamdou Niang, whose effort on the run was well blocked by Pepe Reina.

Rafael Benitez's men struggled to build any momentum and the visitors continued to create the better chances on the counter attack.

Lorik Cana contrived to head over despite being unmarked in the box before the home crowd breathed a huge sigh of relief when Karim Ziani's effort was ruled out for offside just after the half hour mark.

After the interval the home side stepped up a gear and could have broken the deadlock on 52 minutes but Peter Crouch misjudged his volley after a fine run and cross from Steve Finnan.

Both sides then had efforts from distance with Niang firing a free-kick straight at Reina before Gerrard curled a superb 25-yard effort just wide over the right-hand post.

With 20 minutes to go Marseille took off the dangerous Niang and replaced him with former Reds striker Djibril Cisse, whose first piece of action was to flash a 25-yard effort well wide of Reina's goal.

The away side continued to cause the Liverpool rearguard problems and 13 minutes from the end they struck the winning goal.

Momo Sissoko lost the ball in midfield allowing Mathieu Valbuena to turn and exchange a one-two before curling a magnificent 25-yard effort in off the crossbar.

It was a goal worthy of winning any match and despite late chances for Yossi Benayoun, Sami Hyypia and Fernando Torres, it leaves the Reds with it all to do in their remaining Group A fixtures.

hello.
went out with Justice League on tuesday.
went to geylang new hawa restaurant.
went to clementi to meet taufid first.
arrived there quite late..about 6.30pm.
after finish eating went to walk2 around geylang.
wanted to find baju kurung..but not much choices there.
i mean we didnt went to alot of places there.
so after awhile we proceed to marina square.
played pool for awhile with them.
and i just got to know that there is a bowling alley at marina square.
after that went to makansutra..nas workplace.
had free sugarcane drink..thanks to his friend.
then at 12plus proceed to bukit timah shopping centre to play cs with taufid's friends.
its been a long time since i played..but the skills are still there..lol.
so played for 2 hours..1 hour 2 bucks.
then sent home by emy and taufid.
reached home abt 3 plus.

and prison break season 3 is out.

just the first 2 episodes.
to wait for it to be showed in singapore sure takes a loooonnng time.
so better watch it fast.
trust me..this season is way better than season 2..
so thats it..

Chelsea Need Jose.

thats a fact.
seems that the players tried so hard to dedicate this win to him.
but they struggled throughout the match.
the tables are turned when John Obi Mikel was sent off for a rather harsh tackle
on Patrice Evra.

then in the stoppage time of the first half,Carlos Tevez scores his first goal for united.
the scoreline stays until the final minutes of the game where Louis Saha was brought down
by Tal Ben Haim.
Saha himself stepup to make the scoreline two to nothing.

had been watching rugby world cup for quite sometime.
watched england vs south africa.
SA dominated the game to win 36 to nothing.
worst defeat of the defending champs.
but now with the return of Jonny Wilkinson,the team seems to be more stable with the flyhalf.

next fixture for them will be against tonga.
a tough side to beat.
even SA struggled to beat them.
but odds says NZ will win the world cup this year.
we gonna find out soon.

went out to buke puase with them yesterday.
but before that went to granny hse in the afternoon to paint her door.
thats because im broke so need to earn some money.
couldnt finish painting as the paint finished before completing the whole door.
then went to meet them at boots and shoes.
at first want to go to adam road,but we changed our mind to go simpang bedok.
took 168 then saw geri and mingkit at seletar.
called helmi n ask him to book us 10 seats as we're late.
then eat until abt 9plus before we proceed to the airport.
slack around at the viewing mall and played scrabble awhile.
went back at around 12 and reached wdlands at around 1.
proceed to bob's crib until 2.30 and played winning 11.
then eh went out with fam to sahur and me,sufi,mat and eing go sufi's crib.
me and mat had a haircut there.
went back at aroud 4 to sahur and then dropped until buker time.
so now watching man u vs chelsea.
hope man u will get beaten.

hello.
im bored lah actually to blog..and tired also..that y.
went to lepak with izwan,aliff and sufi at my badminton court on thursday nite.
finally izwan lepak at wdlands..after some time planning.
then went home at abt 2am.

next day went to study at sengkang blk 223a with the ppl taking maths.
woke up late..but managed to reach b4 the 'teacher'.
not really study actually..just wondering ard.
played taiti first b4 faizah came.
then izwan came.then followed him to workshop at kaki bukit.
then came back and faizah was like angry..lol..
but managed to complete my paper.
then went to compass point to eat.
talk2 awhile then proceed to izwan's crib for him to get changed.
then proceed to jln sultan to meet with the rest.
there's a fight at el-sheikh went arrived.
then actually wanna go karaoke.
but its fully booked.so we decided to go for shisha.
so we go a place(forgot the name) to have shisha.
took peach and if im not wrong mixed fruits.
its my first time trying though..so mcm tk biase.
i try to tarik like normal ciggs.lol.
but as the time goes im more used to it.
after the shisha we went simpang bedok to eat.
saw helmi at his stall at ard 2am.lol.
thought he had gone home already.
he actually waited for us.but at the end we didnt order his satay.
sorry helmi.rafa benitez's order.lol.
had chicken chop..while others had enourmous murtabaks.lol.
then tk habis2 trade riddles with aliff.
then went to upper seletar reservoir.
slacked for awhile and i was really2 lucky that day.
when we want to go off that time i try to ride izwan's bike.
just like 1 round or something.
then a police car came.but it didnt stop.
we all like felt there must be something wrong.
then we go to izwan's crib all the way to the morning.

played taiti for alot of rounds until 7.
then fadhil went home and i slacked at sufi hse.
met my uncle at causeway to take money.
then went home.
and now nothing to do.
5 weeks of holidays.
and also maths exam coming up this tuesday.

here it is..rafa azri(right) has just signed dani ridzwan(centre) from brazil for a fee of $10 after
a long wait as there's contoversy between the agent of ridzwan kia hafidz(left) and the head of the F.A....lol..hahha
sian ah..like no mood to update blog sia..nobody wanna help me..hahaah..
hmm..lets see whats happening lately..
ermmmm...
nothing ah actually..just being a good boy who go to sch to and fro..
hahaha..
played 21 yesterday with wan,lolok,amli,fid,hafidz,mamat and yul and azul..hahaa
lost by abit after beginners luck..hahah..
then today nothing much,,coz sch starts at 1..so got more time to slp..
went for en and then went home..
but wasted time abit when i decided to send nina home..hahaa..
took bus 5 with her to pasir ris then took 89 to hougang then took 161 to wdlands...
hahaha,..boring mah..i dunnoe y i like to waste time..
tomorrow maybe going home with azul,iqa all..hahaha..
tomorrow gonna take the first bus to sch..so thats it..
off to bed!!
